Route Key

The following route is approximately 34km and starts at Newport City Center Railway Station. The route is colour coded using public right of way paths, so if you don't know the area you should have an OS Map.

The route is a round trip with an overnight stay in Wentwood, the marked route is split into two, one route for people who are of good to strong fitness and another for people who are of average fitness. The routes and times assume you will be wearing backpacking gear.

The route assumes a one night stay somewhere around point 'C' and a return journey the following day. The approximate times to point 'C' are 7 hours using route 1 (Good fitness required) and 4 hours using route 2 (average fitness required)
